JERRY PUFFER

Jerry Puffer, who has been an on-air broadcaster at KSEN Radio in Shelby since 1998, began his broadcasting career at the age of 16 as a part time announcer at KMON in Great Falls in 1961.

He began full time at KUDI Radio in Great Falls the night he graduated from Great Falls High School in 1964. He worked at KOJM in Havre in 1965 after he got his First class radio-telephone license.

He went back to KUDI in 1966. Other stations he worked at were KFYR, Bismarck, N.D. in 1968, KCJB in Minot, N.D. in 1969 and 29 years in Altoona,,Pa. at WRTA, WFBG and WVAM, three stations in one market minus a year at WAKR in Akron, Ohio. As morning man in Pennsylvania, he was the highest rated morning man in the country in the 1970’s.
