Jim Senst
Jim Senst began his broadcast career in the late 1970’s with his first job as an account executive and overnight announcer for K99 radio in Great Falls. From 1980 to 1988, he worked for his lifetime mentor and MBA Hall of Famer Dan Snyder in Helena at radio stations KCAP and KZMT starting as an account executive, then sales manager and eventually station manager. He was recruited in early 1988 to become the General Manager of KMON AM and FM radio in Great Falls, which was then acquired by STARadio in late 1989. Senst then became the General Manager and Vice President as well as becoming a shareholder of STARadio. While with STARadio, Senst assisted in the acquisition of KLFM FM radio in Great Falls, a radio station in Sydney Montana, a pair of radio stations in Williston North Dakota and three radio stations in Helena Montana. Those stations were sold in 2001. In 2011, STARadio purchased six Fisher Communications radio stations in Great Falls. Senst spent over 26 years with STARadio and eventually retiring and selling his interests in STARadio in June of 2022.
