Bob Hermes

For over 40 years Bob Hermes enjoyed being in the broadcasting profession with 33 years in management at KPAX Communications in Missoula/Kalispell, retiring as General Manager in January of 2021. At KPAX he built a number one team of broadcast and digital professionals with 50 full-time and 15 part-time staff covering the news, weather and sports across Western Montana while also providing top marketing and production professionals. While building his team at KPAX he believed in helping the community, showcasing the Montana Grizzlies, local sports teams and helping non-profit causes across Western Montana.

Bob has participated in many local organizations over the past decades including serving on the board of directors for the Montana Broadcasters Association, Missoula Chamber of Commerce, Missoula Youth Homes, Watson Children’s Shelter, A Carousel of Missoula, and Special Olympics Montana. He also served on Missoula City Council for 10 years. He received my master’s degree from Gonzaga University in 2013 in Marketing and Communication and a BA in Journalism/R-TV from the University of Montana in 1980. Bob also coordinated Little Grizzly Football and Little Guy Wrestling for nearly 40 years. He was also involved in refereeing football, volleyball & wrestling with the Montana Officials Association.
